Sorry, I'm Huffy

Precluding a woman
from having an opinion
about national affairs
because she is a stay at home mom,
makes as much sense
as saying a working mom
knows nothing about raising children.

Both are nonsensical

My thoughts exactly. I was watching television when I heard her say that. I'm so glad it came back to bite her in the butt.

I couldn't agree more!!! This issue has sure been abuzz the last few days in the media. I'll bet Hilary what's-her-name regrets ever saying what she did about Ann Romney. She stirred up a sleeping lion with that comment.

And did you notice how fast Obama and the rest of his gang left her twisting in the wind? No loyalty at all among that bunch! It made a lot of people really mad, and they were back pedaling as fast as they could!

Amen!! I couldn't believe all that was going on. Crazy!

Just goes to show - no party (and for that matter, no nation) has sole proprietorship of stupidity. The ignorant are everywhere and it's up to the voting public to pay attention.

I was so angry. I actually went on to Mitten's website and joined in the commenting fray in defense of Ann. (Quaking in my boots for fear someone would say something really mean - cause it's kind of a mean crowd sometimes.) But I got 3 likes!!

I know. I think she was trying to attack the rich more than stay at home moms, but it was stupid and backfired against her big time. Her peeps all disowned her and said they barely knew her, so she'll be sacrificed at the alter. What a stir.

This is what I wrote about it on my FB page:

Thinking this over more, Rosen probably wasn't trying to burn stay at home moms, but she was attacking the rich and her choice of words sucked. I don't know much about the Romneys, except that Mitt made their money and he didn't inherit it.... We can't look at successful 60 somethings and say that they don't know about struggle, sacrifice and never had financial worries; that just cannot be accurate. 40 years ago with 5 babies close together, maybe they didn't have to worry about food on the table or paying the rent, but they still get it. They had businesses, worried about their employees, extended family members, friends, and if any of their kids are divorced they would worry about their daughter-in-law and grandkids circumstances ... it is silly to say that Ann Romney doesn't get it or understand, and that what she shouldn't weigh in with her opinion on the economy is very frustrating. Rosen blew it on this one.
