To Pin or Not to Pin: That is the Question

I signed up for
 because everyone was doing it.

Now I have bulletin boards full of nothing
but white space--mocking me,
taunting me with their vast dull vacuity.

I am receiving emails notifying me
that people are following me
and the pressure is killing me.

 What can I pin?
Can I even recognize cute?
What if all my favorite quotes come from
"The Big Bathroom Joke Book"?
Would anyone take a serious Larainy seriously?
The pressure is building
buildingbuildingbuilding
buildingbuildingbuildingbuilding
buildingbuildingbuildingbuildingbuilding

 Ahhhh, now that's pinteresting.

Ah, Pinterest. One of the great time wasters, but I must admit that I am ADDICTED. My poor blog is being neglected, my house is suffering, my meals have become quick throw together stuff, the laundry, well let's just say we will be naked soon if I don't do something about it. On the up side, I have LOTS AND LOTS of inspiring ideas...gotta go and get more pinspiration.

Can't wait to see what that popped balloon has inspired you to write about.

"everyone was doing it" - ah... didn't your mom ever give you the "jump off a bridge" speech?

I'm a Pinterest fan because:
1. My Google Docs was becoming crowded up with all those things I wanted to put away for future reference. I can save documents, and other more important things there.
2. Talk about time wasters, it takes too much time to save a picture, and upload it to Google docs. With Pinterest, if I see something I'd like to save or share, it is only a click away.
3. I don't like saving too many "fun" things on my hard drive. I have photos, but even those I keep mostly on discs, rather than in iPhoto.
4. I'm not going to print out pictures of things I like and file them in a scrap-book. Storage issue.
3. I can quickly share pictures of ideas, recipes, etc. with my friends and family.
5. I just love having a virtual scrap-book that I can access anywhere, any time!
6. I only "cruse" there when I've a few minutes to myself. Nice brain candy

haha :) I just gave in too. I give myself some credit for at least waiting until midterms are over.

At first I did't get it but now I actually use it to find and make projects and it has worked out well.

It can be addicting, but I think you can handle it. There are so many good ideas. I'm still learning how to use it.

I tried to sign up for Pinterest but they only let you do it if you are on Facebook or Twitter - I don't do either. I asked if I could sign up through e-mail and they ignored me. Oh well I still like looking at everyone else's and now I guess I know I have no pressure!

I don't understand people with white boards on Pinterest. Good grief! That's shameful. How can you live with yourself? Get more pins. Sheesh!

Oh I want to follow you!

Yes, indeedy.

=)

PS. I haven't signed on for Pinterest yet. I am honestly afraid that it will suck me in and never let me go...

Goodness. Well. This seems to have plenty of fans, but it looks like just one more thing that will suck my time! I'm going to stay far, far away. . .

Glad to know I am not the only one that has blank boards and followers, the pressure, oh man I feel it!
