Clearing Out the Blogwebs

image found here
I spent a lovely Thanksgiving week sweeping out the blogwebs from my brain.

In addition to this bit of cerebral housekeeping, I also...

Sold an old bed on Craigslist to a sweet old couple; the male half of the equation consisting of a quaint, small man who seemed to have appeared right out of middle earth (ala Frodo). My old twin bed will fit him like a California King.

Bought a new bed and sewed  pillows and curtains in a creative frenzy

Welcomed home the tall boys from college

Played a goodly amount of Monopoly Deal

Ate ice cream after a bike ride through Indian Bend Park in Scottsdale

Discovered a new way to cut a tall boy's hair

Watched a great movie (on DVD), made from a great book

Enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with family and ate a prodigious amount
...but not quite this much

Your sons aren't twins are they? They sure look alike, huh. (Like you didn't know that already.) Only in AZ can you eat ice cream on green grass on Thanksgiving weekend. Well, maybe a few other places, but not Idaho. So there. I'm sure you would never look like the boob shelf lady no matter how much prodigious you ate. (haha! I do know that prodigious is an adj. I just thought I'd through in some English teacher humor. haha sigh!)

Your tall boys are so handsome - I love the glasses!!
We totally love Monopoly Deal too - a very addicting game and so much faster than Monopoly :-D
And Sarah's Key - I have been waiting to see it. It just left our theater 2 weeks ago and I have been waiting for it to come out on DVD.
Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your crew. You are such a slim and beautiful woman I don't think you could ever look like that last picture - I'd be surprised if that was a relative of yours!!

Your Thanksgiving sounds perfect! I ate too much as well. My digestive tract has still not recovered...

That sounds like a perfect holiday - food, family, board games....and if I hear that you've taken one of those medical tourism jaunts to India (or some other well-known medical mecca)I'll know it's NOT for a face lift, but for some judicious reduction surgery!

Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving and the boys came home. We had a very simple one that consisted of a pot of chili and some cornbread. No turkey here. Now get out there and finish your Christmas shopping!

Wow, that's a really weird picture...the first one, oh, and the last one.

What a lovely holiday you had!

If your new bed is iron, you're channeling me again. :) I've been looking for the perfect cast iron bed. There are a few local stores, but it seems like the really good ones are online.

Well, now. You got a lot accomplished! I especially like your new haircutting technique. Too bad my boys aren't tall enough...

Nice weekend!

And I can't help but (gulp) think that that last picture might truly have inititally been intended to be a literal picture of 'seduction' in its days of past...

Wow, eating ice cream outside on Thanksgiving? A whole new concept for my little brain to wrap around.
Great idea for haircuts. Some people actually look like they do use a ceiling fan for their hair.
