Secrets Were Spilled

Larainy never passes up an opportunity to ask herself to lunch and today was no exception.  When I found out that two of my favorite bloggers,
Holly

and
 Jo

were selfishly planning to meet, eat and laugh, I suggested in a somewhat forceful manner that it would be a very good idea to include me.

Roeann

did the same and in spite of Holly and Jo trying to misdirect us by giving us directions from Mesa to the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant, we were able to track them down at BJ's in Glendale.

You know, you think you know someone when you read their blog day after day, post after post.  But you don't really know someone until you sit across the table from them and put truth serum in their diet beverage.

Turns out that Roeann is a totally loaded trust fund baby who insisted on buying lunch for everyone in the restaurant, tipping outrageously and then roared away in a classic Rolls Royce driven by her stoic German chauffeur, Horst.

Jo is living a quiet life caring for her dog Lola and husband, Rick in the midst of neighbors clueless about her exciting former career as an astronaut in the Russian space program.  Jo says modestly "I knew it was time to quit when I just got sick and tired of circling the earth in Soviet tin can."

But the most surprising revelation was Holly's double life in product development for Post's line of breakfast cereal.  Every flake, nugget and crunchy bit has to pass Holly's demanding taste buds or you will never see it on your breakfast table.  She is, in fact, a "cereal killer".

One of Larainy's deepest secrets was embarrassingly revealed as she munched her Sesame Chicken Salad, but everyone was too polite to comment.

Thanks ladies, let's do it again soon!

It's so much fun to meet the people you read every day. Glad they didn't give you the slip. One of these days, we will meet - I'm sure of it!

Abandon all secrets, ye bloggers who meet for lunch!
Today in one blogger's ear, tomorrow on the World Wide Web!
....do you think I could get help designing a signature cereal. It's sort of a lifelong dream of mine....

No one will ever hear from me about your love of Justin Bieber and the fact you always wear a bedazzeled bra when lunching in order to feel more glamourous. I can't believe you remember my psycho cereal morning. In my own defense, that was written during a rather disturbing PMS day. We definately need a do over.

I should have remembered my astronaut training when those pictures were taken. Self restraint much? Why do I try to be funny? I'm at a loss for words at your revelations of our secrets. I think you had juicier secrets but my years of orbiting at high altitude have caused serious memory loss.

What a great get-together. I have been reading about it on all of your blogs and it's been fun.

I love your group shot - looks like teenagers at the soda shop! I've lurked at your blog a few times because I kept seeing your comments in Jo's and Holly's, so now it's time for me to come out of the closet, so to speak. How brave of you to invite yourself to one of their lunches! Were you as scared as I was??

Nothing like a good time with friends. Looks like y'all were having a wonderful time.

Humming while chewing? Sounds like you enjoy your food so much that the angel within you must express it through song. I may or may not do the same thing when I eat a Symphony bar. No one has ever pointed it out to me though.
