While flailing away on the elliptorturtical machine I heard two conversations that illustrate the ancient tale of how men are different from women.
T-shirted Woman: Oh hiiiiii Jaynie. I haven't seen you forever. (Voice rises high in admiration) You are just wasting away!
Spandexed Woman: Oh I am not. You are!
T-shirted Woman: You are such a liar
Both Women: (Mutually satisfied giggles)

Young Hairy Man: (Cheerfully) Hey! What's up you stupid piece of crap?
Muscled Tank Top Man: Hey, not much. Looks like you are still as ugly as ever.
Both Men: (Fist bump, smiles all around, subconscious flexing)
I'm so glad I'm a girl.

Oh I want to go to YOUR gym. At the gym I go to (small room at the senior citizen's center), the women are either too out of breath to talk or they just can't bring themselves to lie.
They do love to insult each other, don't they?

You are so right, men and women are definitely different! I would like to crawl into your brain and see how it operates, you bring belly laughs to me all the time.
I think you must have a pretty delusional work out area on either side--hahaha. No wonder I never go to the gym or get accused of wasting away either. Darn!
Isn't it amazing the stuff you overhear? Some days I wonder why I bother with TV-- real life is much more entertaining.

SO TRUE! I always do this at the gym! It's the best. Or, I keep my earbuds in and make up my own conversations for them... that's even better.
If its a choice between being stroked or being insulted, then I'm super glad I'm a girl!

I'll take being a girl any day. Even the lies they tell you sound better than some of the guy talk. Having said that, I have my own gym set up in the garage so I never get to hear those kind of conversations. I just watch movies while I'm doing the huffing and puffing.
